El Meson Celebrates "A Sunday of Giving" For Local Charities

Dayton, June 16, 2010 - The Foodbank, DAI, and ARC Ohio to Benefit from Father’s Day Event - On Father’s Day, June 20, patrons of El Meson restaurant in West Carrollton will have the opportunity to honor their dads while giving back to the community. The Castro family, owners of El Meson, has designated this Father’s Day as A Sunday of Giving that will benefit three local charities; The Foodbank, DAI, and ARC Ohio. This will be the second annual Sunday of Giving event that the restaurateurs have hosted.

A special Sunday in Spain buffet will be offered from 11:00am to 2:00pm featuring a Tapas Tasting Table, Paella Buffet, Salad and Desert all for $28. Patrons will designate $10 of the cost to any or all of the three featured charities.

"We are honored and thrilled to be a part of A Sunday of Giving again this year", said Burma Thomas, CEO of The Foodbank. “The Foodbank has distributed 4.5 million pounds of food to the local community in need and the demand continues to climb. Events like these not only raise much needed funds but also raise awareness of our local hunger crisis”.

All three charities will have table top displays where diners can learn more about each organization and their contribution to the community.
