Kroger Helps The Foodbank Bring Hope Back To The Table

Dayton, June 13, 2008 - The Foodbank is excited to announce that on Thursday, June 19, Kroger will be donationg a semi-trailer of food and $35,000 as part of their "Bringing Hope Back to the Table" campaign. This annual campaign, which is held in every Kroger store in the United States, has provided millions of meals for the hungry across the country. Locally, the donations will be used to feed the hungry in Montgomery, Greene, and Preble counties.

"We're excited by this donation from Kroger," stated Linda Roepken, Associate Executive Officer of The Foodbank. "It's wonderful to have community partners who understand our cause and go out of their way to support The Foodbank's mission. As the need among our area continues to rise, donations such as this become more and more important. We cannot thank Kroger enough."
