The Foodbank: Leading the Charge to Relieve Hunger for our Miami Valley Neighbors

The Foodbank is the primary source of food for more than 95 hunger relief programs in Greene, Montgomery and Preble counties. Its mission is threefold:

  • To acquire and manage food resources and distribute them through the local hunger relief network
  • To address the nutritional needs of targeted, at-risk populations (children, individuals with special dietary needs)
  • To serve as advocate for the poor and hungry in our region

The Foodbank is a member of America’s Second Harvest: The Nation’s Foodbank Network, which provides food and support services to more than 200 food banks and food rescue organizations throughout the United States.
